This is a true story that never really happened.

Once upon a time there was a little girl that lived in a very big house and slept in a very big bed. One night, when it was very very late, and everyone in the house was fast asleep, the little girl woke up hungry. She didn't want to disturb anybody, so she

crept

down

the

stairs

and went into the kitchen. The little girl opened the refrigerator, took out a snack, and ate it all up. But when she was finished she was still hungry. So the little girl opened the refrigerator and took out some vegetables and ate them all up. But she was still hungry. So she took out some fruit and ate that all up. Even then, she was still very hungry. So, she took out all the food from the refrigerator, and ate it all up.

Then, the little girl went into the cupboards and took out

all the boxes of cereal, and
all the cookies, and
all the crackers.

She ate and ate and ate, until there was nothing left.

But she was still hungry.

By that time it was morning, and her parents came down the stairs. They saw that the little girl was awake. "Why are you awake?" asked the little girl's parents.

"I'm
very hungry. '' said the little girl, " I need something to eat!"

The parents went into the
refrigerator, but it was empty. They went into the cupboards, but the cupboards were bare.

All the food was gone!

"What are we going to do?" said her father "Our little girl is hungry and there is no food left in the house.

"We will have to go next door," said her mother, "and borrow some food from our neighbour. "

So they went to their neighbour's house and knocked on the front door. "Will you give us some food for our little girl?" asked her parents,." She's very hungryand we have no food left in our house."

Their next-door neighbour gave them some
food. The little girl's parents gave the little girl the food, and she ate it all up.

But she was still hungry.

So her parents went back for more and more, until her neighbour had no food left in their house. By this time, the little girl wasn't so little anymore.

She was as big as a horse.

"Oh dear, what are we going to do now?" said her parents, " Our daughter is still hungry."

So they went to their other next-door neighbour's house and got all the food from there and gave it to their daughter. And she ate it all up. But when she had finished, she was still hungry.

"Oh my," said her parents, " what are we going to do?"

They went down the street to all the houses and got all the food from all their neighbours. And the little girl ate it all up! But when she was finished, she was still hungry. Now the little girl was so big she could hardly move.

She was as big as an elephant!

"Oh my goodness," said her parents, "There isn't enough food in the neighbourhood to feed our hungry daughter." So they picked up the telephone and called the radio station.

They said," Radio station, we have a problem. Our daughter ate all the food in our house, ate all our next door neighbours' food, and ate all the food in all the houses on our street, and she is still hungry. Can you help us?"

So the radio station put an announcement on the radio for all the people to come with food to help the little girl from being hungry. And they came from miles and miles and miles. They came in trucks, and they came in cars, and they all brought food with them.

She was as big as a house!!

The people had to use a ladder to climb up the little girl to feed her food. They kept feeding her and feeding her, and when they had finished, she was still hungry. But there was no food left.

All the refrigerators in all the houses and
all the supermarkets and
all the restaurants were empty.

And the little girl was
still hungry.

"If only I could get only one more thing to eat," said the little girl." I wouldn't be hungry any more. "

So all the people went to all the houses to see if there was anything left.
And in one refrigerator, they found

one last
cherry.

"Oh my goodness," said the people. " There is  only ONE last cherry left . We better give it to the little girl so she won't be hungry anymore."

So they took the one last cherry to the little girl.

They climbed up the ladder and dropped the one last cherry in her mouth.

Plop!

The little girl swallowed the one last cherry. Then the strangest thing happened.

First there was a rumble,
then the little girl began to
shake.
Suddenly, the little girl opened her mouth and all the food
burst
out of her into the sky.

All the fruits and vegetables,
all the lettuce and cucumbers,
all the melons and cheese,
all the eggs and ice cream,
all the cake and pizza,
all the food flew way into the sky and fell on

all the people!

And the
little girl was back to normal.

"That cherry really filled me up," said the little girl.  "Now I'm not hungry any more."

The
little girl then went back to her house, climbed the stairs to her bedroom, and went back to bed.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
